COST
There is no submission expense to apply to the program. Once accepted into the Fellowship, the following fees are required from each participant: $2,950/year
The balance of the program cost for the next 3 cohorts has been covered for each Fellow through a grant from an anonymous donor interested in strengthening the overall capacity of non-profit leaders. The actual cost of the program is $5405 for each person in the program – we are delighted to pass the grant impact onto you!

Based on a small cohort model and partially funded through an anonymous grant, The GG Society Fellowship is designed as a deep level of support for community leaders, helping to refresh the intellectual vitality and alleviate the daily challenge of running and resourcing a non-profit. The Fellowship provides intensive, individualized support during the course of one year. Each Fellow has the opportunity to work on real, specific work problems and/or incubate ideas in a group setting.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION
We have moved from a timed application process to a rolling application process. Applications are received throughout the year for our Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego and Denver Cohorts.
Cohorts are announced as soon as they are filled. We encourage applicants to submit their applications early as each cohort is extremely limited in its capacity.
WHO CAN APPLY? Eligible applicants are:
- Leaders of a non-profit or social enterprise (Executive Director, Founder, C-level executive, Board Member, etc.)
- Able to commit to in-person attendance to 4 quarterly retreats in the city where the cohort is located
- Eager for growth through innovation and willing to carve the time and do the work that will take them and their agency to the next level
- Interested in achieving more work/life balance and/or looking for the next step in your career as a non-profit leader
This is a competitive process and we cap each of our cohorts at 12 Fellows.
Enrollment priority will be given to applicants actively looking for solutions to specific non-profit issues and/or social problems. Each Fellow is expected to bring to the table 1-2 issues that are on a spectrum from “seemingly insurmountable” to “small”; we’ll provide a platform to solve these issues during the program.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM MODEL
The program blends peer-to-peer learning, one-on-one coaching sessions and ongoing support on specific issues. Fellows benefit from engagement and accountability each month, either from a cohort retreat, or from a coaching session. Help from the coach is always an email or call away. We keep cohorts small, so at each retreat people get enough time to dive deep into their issue and benefit from rich ideas and conversations with their peers. Fellows are encouraged to connect with one another in between retreats and to be of support to one another, forming a mutual network of support.
We offer you the platform, the know-how, the support and the power of a unique brain-trust in the hope that you will fully bring yourself to the table. While the coach is a resource available anytime throughout the year, the program does not have a set expectation for the numbers of hours a Fellow is expected to invest. Ultimately, the only prize at the end is the prize you co-create through new thinking and collaboration.
OFFERINGS
- 4 quarterly executive leadership one-day retreats. This is not a drop-in program and Fellows are required to attend all quarterly retreats.
